Forks are Lombardy pattern, all others are Hadley.We believe that these date from the 1940's, remaining in storage when the hotel switched to stainless steel flatware that could handle the rigors of commercial dishwashing equipment. A total of 22 unused boxes of flatware, in the following quantities. The Abraham Lincoln Hotel was located in Springfield, Illinois, opening in 1925. The hotel was demolished in 1978. Springfield, Illinois was the hometown of President Abraham Lincoln; the only place he ever owned a home. He raised his children in Springfield, and then departed for Washington, DC. He was laid to rest in Springfield in 1865, and the city is now home to The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.
